Gaussian Channel
Tradleware Edition
- Asset BTC/USDT
- Timeframe 1D
- Backtest Period 2018-01-01 → 2026-07-04
- Max Drawdown -12.57%
- Profitable Trades 34.09%
- Profit Factor 4.12
- DCA (Monthly $100) ⓘ +308.35%
Long-only trend strategy. Enters when the Gaussian channel is rising and price breaks out above the upper band, confirmed by Stochastic RSI K overbought (>80) or oversold (<15). Exits when price crosses back under the upper band or the channel reverses.
Ichimoku
Tradleware Edition
- Asset SOL/USD
- Timeframe 4H
- Backtest Period 2021-01-01 → 2026-06-27
- Max Drawdown -30.77%
- Profitable Trades 37.50%
- Profit Factor 3.905
- DCA (Monthly $100) ⓘ +835%
Long-only Ichimoku strategy tuned for SOL/USDT on the 4H timeframe. Enters on a Tenkan/Kijun bullish cross while price is above the cloud, with an MFI (>50) gate to filter low-conviction fakeouts. Exits when price closes below the Kijun (equilibrium line); a hard stop at the cloud bottom protects against full regime breakdown. Parameters: Tenkan 20 / Kijun 60 / Senkou B 120.
Dollar-Cost Averaging
Tradleware Edition
- Asset BTC/USDT
- Timeframe 1D
- Backtest Period 2018-01-01 → 2026-07-04
- Max Drawdown -11.81%
- Profitable Trades 76.00%
- Profit Factor 51.555
Not a trading strategy to run live — a fair benchmark for comparing any active strategy against a simple buy-and-hold schedule. Invests a fixed dollar amount on a schedule until the initial capital is fully deployed, then closes the position at the end of the backtest to report P&L. No margin, no added funds. Works on any asset and timeframe; the numbers above use BTC/USDT to match the Gaussian Channel backtest window.
HODL
Tradleware Edition
- Asset BTC/USDT
- Timeframe 1D
- Backtest Period 2018-01-01 → 2026-07-04
- Max Drawdown -76.40%
- Profitable Trades 50.00%
- Profit Factor 3,105,783
Deploys 100% of the initial capital into BTC at the start date and holds untouched until the end date — no timing, no signals, no exits, pure accumulation. The position is sold only at the very end so the Strategy Tester can report P&L. Because this is effectively a single trade, several of the stats above are misleading rather than informative: the -76.40% Max Drawdown just reflects BTC's largest peak-to-trough decline during the hold, not a risk-management failure; Profitable Trades (50%) is an artifact of how the tester counts the entry and exit orders, not a real win rate; and the enormous Profit Factor (3,105,783) results from having virtually no losing trade in the denominator. Any active strategy should be judged against this simplest possible baseline — if it can't beat HODL on a risk-adjusted basis, it isn't adding value. Pair with the DCA reference for a fuller passive-benchmark picture.
